A few years ago, I bought a 14k Athenian Owl Pendant for my mother in Greece and regretted not getting one for myself. Luckily, I found this 24k version from Mene. Though "Crafted-on-Demand" took longer, it was worth it. The weight and color are a thing of beauty—nothing beats 24k gold!

A beautiful piece of history
It’s little but heavy. Its artwork it impeccable. Wear it with the obverse ir reverse forward. Athena is amazing and recognizable at some distance. The beautiful owl is high-relief with a substantial texture. The inscription "ΑΘΕ" is an abbreviation of ΑΘΗΝΑΙΩΝ, which means "of the Athenians".

Like two pendants in one
I really love that Mene put a design on both sides of this pendant. It makes you feel like you got two pendants rather than just one, and I'm about that value. Hope they continue with this type and make more in other designs. Love the sturdy bale and heft of the piece. Would definitely recommend.

This piece, for me, is the perfect size; not too big and not too small. The detail is lovely. The owl on one side and Athena (goddess of wisdom) on the other adds versatility as well as accuracy in terms of replicating an ancient gold coin.

Memorial to my mother
I got this because the profile of the goddess on the other side, is very close to my mother's profile. There is a curl that is very similar to the way my mother wore her hair in the early 70s. I really love this pendant and treat it like a religious medal.
