This Cross pendant was for my God Daughters Baptism. The hole for the Mene Chain is in the top of the cross. Initially I couldn't get the chain through the hole since it was a tight fit. I found the tight fit to be an asset, since the pendant cannot fall off the chain even when it is unclasps.
